Bible Study & Brunch



Hey folks!  Are we really kissing July goodbye???!!!  NOTE....because most of our members are traveling, vacationing, camping etc this weekend.....we will ONLY have an extended Bible study time & brunch (thx Bonnie) tomorrow!  NO worship service or potluck!  And.....next week bgsc will close its doors for the day & go "on the road" to Louisville for our Sabbath services.  We will join the ASI Convention & David Asscherick for Sabbath School & Church services as well as an afternoon musical concert & vespers Sat evening.  More details coming on next weekend.....stay tuned!!!!

Don’t forget…..we are still collecting basic school supplies for grade school children through August 10.  Thank you!

This month we started a new quarterly ~ “The Least of These.”  Join us this week as we continue studying how to minister to those around us who are in need…

Wimbledon WHAM-iches



Hey folks!  We are looking forward to seeing everyone this week!  We had a great 8th anniversary potluck and fellowship time last Sabbath…..if you were away, you were missed!  Don’t forget….we are still collecting basic school supplies for grade school children through August 3.  Look for the basket labeled “school supply donations” in the fellowship hall.  Thank you!

Belated Easter Dinner



Happy last weekend of April folks!  This weekend BGSC will host our (slightly delayed) annual Easter worship service/potluck along with a baby shower (following the fellowship meal) for Danielle Freund & Baby Peyton Michael.  We will also celebrate a very special person’s “big” birthday (i.e.....our punch whisperer) and all of the other April birthdays and anniversaries.  We look forward to seeing everyone!  NEXT WEEK.......is Derby!  We hope you can join us for a very special Kentucky Derby themed potluck!

This week the Bible study class held in the fellowship area will cover Lesson 5, “Wise Words for Families.”  Also, Miss Stephanie has a very cool craft for our youth class....you won’t want to miss it!  And.....we are practicing a new song on our ukuleles in cradle roll class......we hope you can join us!

NOTE....we are still collecting gently used or new hoodies and sweatpants in sizes L-XXL for the Youth Arbor Services Center here in Lex!  We are also collecting new or gently used Bibles for local prison ministries...thanks!

Extended Bible Study This Week!

Happy Easter everyone!  This week the adult class will cover Lesson 4, “When Alone.”  There is NO WORSHIP service OR regular potluck this week.  Instead, we will have an extended Bible study time, along with brunch and of course fellowship!  If possible, bring an Easter or brunch themed dish to add to Bonnie’s delicious spread.  For those of you going out of town this Easter weekend....be safe and enjoy your time with family and friends!  NEXT WEEK, April 27, we will host our annual Easter worship service/potluck along with a baby shower (following the fellowship meal) for Danielle Freund & Baby Peyton Michael.  We will also celebrate a very special person’s birthday (i.e.....the punch whisperer) and all of the other April birthdays and anniversaries.  Have a blessed holiday weekend with those you love and may the story of Easter inspire all of us to draw closer to Jesus....the One who died and rose again for YOU!

Pizza Parlor



Happy April everyone!  Our potluck theme this Sabbath is, “Pizza Parlor!”  If possible, bring a salad, pizza topping, dessert or Italian decorations for our buffet table.  Next week...April 13...BGSC goes “on the road” for the third time in nearly eight years.  More info about that this weekend.....stay tuned!

  Our adult Bible study class will meet as usual in the fellowship hall by the fire and will be discussing Lesson 1 in the new quarterly, “The Rhythms of Life.”  In our “little’s class,” we will be continuing our new story theme, “He’s Alive “ beginning our countdown to Easter weekend, April 19-21.

March Madness



Happy Thursday folks!  How can it be the last weekend of March?!  Our potluck theme this Sabbath is of course, “March Madness!”  If possible, bring a salad, appetizer, tray of sandwiches, dessert or UK BLUE decorations for our buffet table.  Next week......it’s “HAYstacks” for lunch to kick off Keeneland’s opening weekend here in the Bluegrass!

St. Patrick's Day Dinner



Happy mid-March....Spring is coming next week!  Our potluck theme this weekend is, “St. Patrick’s Day Dinner.”  If possible, bring an Irish casserole, entrĂ©e, side dish, salad, or dessert to share.  And any “green” or Irish decorations for our buffet table....
 
We will be starting a new story theme called “He’s Alive” in our “little peoples class.”  It will begin our countdown to Easter weekend April 19-21.  Hope to see you and your kiddos there!  And our older youth class will be doing a really fun St. Patrick’s Day craft thanks to Ms. Stephanie!
