Happy mid-March....Spring is coming next week!  Our potluck theme this weekend is, “St. Patrick’s Day Dinner.”  If possible, bring an Irish casserole, entrĂ©e, side dish, salad, or dessert to share.  And any “green” or Irish decorations for our buffet table....

Dear BGSC Family & Friends,

“May the road rise to meet you....may the wind be always at your back....may the sun shine warm upon your face....and until we meet again may the Lord hold you in the palm of His hand.”  Happy St. Patrick’s Day week!  Join us for o ur regular Bible study time, worship service, and potluck meal.  Our theme is of course, “St. Patty’s Picnic.”  If desired, bring a favorite Irish dish to share...or any Irish decorations you would like to bring for our buffet table!

Thanks to everyone who came out last Sabbath evening to help us make and serve dinner at the Ronald McDonald House!!!  I heard someone say, “this is the best meal we’ve had in such a long time!”  I think we had a total of 15 BGSC peeps show up and it was a lot of fun!  Check out our Facebook page for pictures!

Please keep the entire Kurzynske family in your prayers.....Rick & Janet lost their niece Michal day before yesterday.  She was only 37 years old.  I know they appreciate your prayers during this difficult time.  The funeral is this Friday in Georgia.  In addition, please continue to keep Victor and Patricia and family in your prayers.....Victor’s dad and Patricia’s sister are experiencing substantial health issues at this time.  Thank you for your thoughts and prayers for our church family!

Luck O’ the Irish Lunch

It’s finally feeling like Spring!!  Don’t forget to set your clocks forward this weekend!  Our Easter service is scheduled for March 19 & it’s beginning to take shape!  If you are interested in doing a musical number, a reading/scripture/poem, or helping with the decorations and/or brunch potluck to follow the service...please let us know...we’d love your input!  We would be thrilled for you to invite friends & family to join us that day...

Our adult study group will meet as usual in the fellowship area by the fireplace.  Bonnie always has a lovely breakfast spread for everyone to enjoy beside the crackling fire.....so come & enjoy it with us!   Our youth study groups continue to meet in the adjacent rooms.  The “ukulele choir” is working on a special number for the Easter service ~ hope you can join us ~ we have plenty of uke’s to go around in every color of the rainbow!

This week our potluck theme is “Luck O’ the Irish Lunch.”  Bring a favorite “St. Patrick’s” themed dish to share.  For those who help out in the kitchen ~ look for the “team potluck text”
going out later today....thanks!

Don’t forget to bring your prayer requests this week ~ we have index cards available so you can make notes & share them during the worship service.  See Grace Anderson if you would like your requests added to the prayer chain...

NOTE ~ Arbor Youth Services here in Lex is housing a 19 year old woman who is pregnant with twins.  She is due any day and in need of baby items and financial assistance.  AYS is also in need of Wal-Mart gift cards for 18 year olds who come to them with nothing.  These cards would help purchase groceries and everyday household items.  See Melia if you can help!

Luck of the Irish Potluck & Outreach Project for Prisoners Down on Their Luck

Winter hasn't gone away....yet....but Spring will arrive in 1 week!  Join us this weekend for a cozy Celtic worship service & fellowship meal.  We are looking forward to seeing you & your families at Twin Pines.  Our potluck theme will be a jolly green "Luck of the Irish" feast in honor of St. Patrick's Day!

We will be going to "The Willows" over in Hamburg following potluck this week.  We'll be singing, doing puzzles, taking daffodils, & visiting with patients there.  We would love for you to come along & help spread some Spring cheer!

FYI....BGSC is collecting personal hygiene items for prisoners in a remote prison in Georgia.  They are desperate for things such as combs, toothbrushes, dental floss, shampoo, bar soap, deodorant, etc.  we will be collecting for several weeks....thank you!
