panini's & pie
Happy Thanksgiving Weekend! We are so blessed to have you as part of our BGSC family! Our potluck theme this week is our traditional Thanksgiving weekend "Panini's & Pie." Bring your Thanksgiving leftovers so everyone can make a sandwich or hot panini filled with their fav things. Bring leftover pie! Ice cream & whipped cream provided....along with frozen cranberry ginger ale. Note...we will be writing holiday cards to our military service members (at Walter Reid) during potluck ~ cards/pens/crayons provided. They will be mailed Monday to meet the deadline. See you tomorrow!

BGSC will be donating bananas, milk, orange juice, & paper products (enough for 75 people) to be used for breakfast on Thanksgiving Day at a local shelter. If you would like to participate & pick up an item that is listed....let Melia know....she is compiling a list. Thanks!
Let's go caroling as a group again this year! We already have one nursing home on the list (The Willows in Hamburg). Who's in??!!
Is anyone interested in ringing bells for the Salvation Army red bucket fundraiser this holiday season? It might be fun to do as a group -- let us know if you're in!

Happy 2nd Birthday, BGSC
BGSC will have its 2-year anniversary celebration next Sabbath, July 6! We will have a special service followed by a good 'ol Adventist potluck featuring favorite SDA standby's such as loaded baked potatoes, Special K Loaf, jello salad, & lots of sides/veggies along with hot rolls, drink & a special anniversary cake! And if you are interested in doing something for the service (a reading, story, or special music, please let us know!!).

Lexington Humane Society is in need of wet kitten/adult cat food, puppy/adult dog food, bleach, and HE laundry detergent.

Our BGSC Family had a wonderful time hanging out at the Ronald McDonald House on June 22... had a ball making comfort food for their residents who spent the day at the hospital. Thanks everybody....we missed all of you who couldn't make it!

easter program 2013
What a better way to start Easter celebrations than to come together to remember Christ's sacrifice and resurrection? BGSC hosted our first Easter program, "From the Cross to the Throne" at Twin Pines Christian Church on Friday, March 22. After a program rich with beautiful music and readings, we enjoyed a light reception with food and fellowship. Thank you to all who made it out to the program!
