Soup-er Bowl!

Yay ~ we are saying a happy good-bye to January.  Winter....your days are numbered!  This week we continue with part 4 of our 6 part study series.  Our adult & youth groups will meet at their regular time, followed by the worship hour, & then potluck!  The  theme is of course, “Soup-er Bowl” in honor of the big game in Arizona this Sunday.  Bread bowls will be provided....so bring a favorite soup or salad to share.  There will also be drink, crackers & soup toppings provided.  Of course, we love to have you join us even if you don’t bring a single thing ~ we always have plenty!

FYI....This is our last week to collect items for “Youth Arbor Services” (a Lexington shelter for teens/families).  They are still in need of twin sheet sets, pillows, & towels (preferably white so they can be bleached).  Thank you!  What we have collected will be displayed on a table in the fellowship area so folks can see what BGSC will be donating.

NOTE ~ For the first two weeks of February, BGSC will be writing Valentine cards for shut ins & others who could use a note of love & cheer!  Look for Valentine cards & Valentine making supplies on a table in the fellowship area during potluck.  We’d love your help!  If you would like to donate cards or chocolates....that would be great.  And, if you have a friend or family member who could use one of our cards.....please bring their address with you!  On Valentine’s Day, we will deliver cards, chocolates & flowers to a local nursing home.

Is anyone interested in making dinner at the Ronald McDonald House again this year?  Does anyone have another community project they think BGSC could participate in?  Looking for new outreach ideas!
