Run for the Roses

Happy May folks!  Central Kentucky is looking very “bloomy!”  We hope you and your family are feeling blessed beyond measure and we look forward to seeing you this Derby weekend.  For those of you who’ve been away from our little bgsc family while traveling or battling illness.....you are missed!  Our potluck theme is of course, “Run for the Roses!”

If possible, bring a favorite “Derby” or Kentucky themed dish to share.  We have several birthdays & anniversaries this month!  We will be celebrating those during our potluck the last weekend of May/Memorial Day weekend.

We will be writing notes of thanks and encouragement to our service members this month in honor of Armed Services Day and Memorial Day.  If you would like to bring cards, pens, or special patriotic stickers....we will be working on them during potluck the next three weekends (May 6, 13, 20, 27)!  Thank you!

Next weekend is Mother’s Day so it’s ALL about THE MOMS!  Potluck will be “brunch.”  We hope to see all of our special bgsc moms there!

Our newest youth class ~ “Cradle Roll” ~ will premier on July 1st!  If you’re interested in helping us out with the little ones (ages 0-4) ~ please let us know!

Don’t forget to bring your prayer requests each week ~ we have index cards available so you can make notes & share them during the worship service.
We love participation in our worship service and potluck....so if you would like to sing, play a song, read a scripture, tell a children’s story, or host/decorate for/or plan a future potluck....please let us know.  And, if you would like to coordinate a community volunteer activity for our group, we are always searching for new ideas!

Have an updated email address, phone number, or snail mail address??  We love to keep in touch!  Also, please let us know if there is anyone you would like for us to add to our weekly group email.
Have we missed anyone’s birthday or anniversary?  Please make us aware so we can update our list.

Our bgsc “supply closet” is in need of a few items:
 
Keurig refills (all kinds....tea, hot cocoa, apple cider, etc)
    juice boxes
    liquid or powdered creamers
