Love Luncheon

Happy Valentine’s Day!!  We look forward to seeing you & your family at BGSC this weekend.  In honor of Valentine’s Day...our potluck theme is “Love Luncheon!”  Bring a favorite dish of your choice.  Thank you!

We are in need of some assistance in our youth department.  We will also be launching our “cradle roll” department in the next few months as we are welcoming several new babies into our church family!  If you are interested in helping out in either dept please let us know.....we so appreciate it!

Don’t forget to bring your prayer requests each week ~ we have index cards available so you can make notes & share them during the worship service.
We love participation in our worship service....so if you would ever like to sing or play a song, read a scripture, tell a children’s story, or help in any other way....please let us know.  And if you would like to coordinate a community volunteer activity for our group ~ we are always searching for new ideas.
Have we missed anyone’s birthday or anniversary?  Please let us know so we can update our list!

Our bgsc “supply closet” is always in need of a few items:

•     Solo punch cups
•     Keurig refills (all kinds....tea, hot cocoa, apple cider, etc)
•     Pop tarts,
•     mixed nuts, dried fruits or trail mix
•     **juice boxes
•     **mini water bottles
•     olive oil and vegetable oil
•     liquid or powdered creamers

Will You Be Mine?

Happy Valentine’s!  We look forward to seeing each one of you at BGSC this weekend.  Our potluck theme is “Will You Be Mine?”  We will enjoy pasta, salads, bread, desserts and punch.  We’ll be making Valentine’s for shut-in’s during potluck if you would like to bring craft supplies or cards...thanks!

Lady & the Tramp

Happy Valentine’s Day!  This week we conclude our 6 part study series.  Our adult & youth groups will meet at their regular time, followed by the worship hour, & then potluck!  The  theme is “Valentine’s Day...Lady & the Tramp” featuring baked spaghetti, lasagna, salad, bread & Valentine’s desserts.  Of course, we love to have you join us even if you don’t bring a single thing ~ we always have plenty!

NOTE ~ BGSC will be writing Valentine cards for shut ins & others who could use a note of love & cheer this week!  Look for Valentine cards & Valentine making supplies on a table in the fellowship area during potluck.  We’d love your help!  If you would like to donate cards or chocolates....that would be great.  And, if you have a friend or family member who could use one of our cards.....please bring their address with you!  On Valentine’s Day, we will deliver cards, chocolates & flowers to a local nursing home.

If anyone is interested in leading out in the prayer time, singing/playing a special musical number, or reading a scripture....please let us know!

The Bar's Have It

Happy February!  This week we continue with part 5 of our 6 part study series.  Our adult & youth groups will meet at their regular time, followed by the worship hour, & then potluck!  The  theme is “The Bar’s Have It” featuring a baked potato bar & salad bar.  Feel free to bring a potato or salad topping of your choice, or a dessert.  Potatoes, Special K casserole, salad & drink will be provided.  Of course, we love to have you join us even if you don’t bring a single thing ~ we always have plenty!

FYI...Twin Pines will be having an event at 5:30.....so if you notice folks rolling in around 2:30 to prepare, don’t be alarmed.  We will just work around them!

valentine's weekend

Our potluck theme this week is, "In Love with Breakfast (for lunch)!"  You won't want to miss the homemade heart waffles with strawberries, whipped cream, warm syrup & powdered sugar (I promise you)!  Fresh squeezed OJ coming too....& homemade creamy hot cocoa.

Note....the youth will be making Valentine's again this week for folks in the nursing home & kiddos in the children's hospital.  Feel free to bring your favorite craft supplies to share.

Our worship service this week will include songs & scripture about the love of God on this Valentine's weekend!!

olympic fever & this week's outreach

Our potluck theme this week is "Olympic Fever" as the world converges on Sochi, Russia for the Olympic Opening Ceremonies tomorrow.  Let's celebrate with food from around the world...anything goes!
