NOTE ~ BGSC is still collecting “underwear for the underprivileged.”  In many orphanages overseas, there are simply not enough undergarments for the children housed in these facilities.  A friend in Jacksonville, FL who is adopting two teen boys from Ukraine is collecting packages of brand new underwear for youth (sizes 8 to 16).  Bring your items anytime in the next few weeks and they’ll be added to a box that will be shipped at the end of April.  Thank you for always coming through for those in need!

Chinese New Year

We will continue with part 3 of our 6 part series this Sabbath.  And...our potluck theme is “Chinese New Year!”  Bring your favorite Asian dish to share.  There will be eggrolls, stir fry, fried rice, salad, and birthday cake to celebrate the birthday of one of our youth!

FYI....Youth Arbor Services (a local Lexington shelter for teens/families) is still in need of twin sheet sets, pillows, & towels (preferably white so they can be bleached).

Don’t forget to invite your friends & family to “like” BGSC’s Facebook page!  You can find us under Bluegrass Simple Church.  Click “share” under any of our posts or links, & voila...it will appear on your own personal FB home page.  You can also write a “review” of BGSC & post it on our page ~ giving it 1 to 5 stars.  There is also an option under the main heading called “invite friends to like this page.”  Click that, & a list of your FB friends will pop up & you can invite them personally.  Thank you!

Is anyone interested in making dinner at the Ronald McDonald House again this year?  Does anyone have another community project they think BGSC could participate in?  Looking for new outreach ideas!

Please forward us your prayer requests as we are trying to compile an updated list!
